Hi! My name is Kelly Ward and I'm a Graphic Designer, born and raised in the Chicagoland area. For as long as I can remember, my biggest passion in life has been creating works of art. My heart and soul go into each project I’m involved in – it’s an amazing feeling to be able to take an idea and bring it to life.
After I graduated from Winona State University, I started my design career as a Graphic Design Guru Intern at Red Frog Events. I got the chance to collaborate with a creative team and design for a variety of successful event brands. Once I completed my internship, I became a Production Artist at Sir Speedy Printing. I got a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process during that year, which helped me work more efficiently as a designer. My experience also improved my knowledge of design and print production. I was then given an opportunity to work for One Hour Tees, here in Chicago. I was able to work and collaborate with clients to help bring their t-shirt ideas to life. After working in the t-shirt world, I was offered a position at Brandmuscle where I created custom designs within the Alcohol industry. I had the opportunity of making advertisements for bars, restaurants, and different events alerting people about specific drink specials, while staying on brand with both the host site and liquor company. I feel lucky to have worked in several different avenues within the design world, and I can't wait to see where my path leads me next!
Aside from being a designer, I'm a diehard White Sox Fan. My music taste ranges from Elton John all the way to Lil Wayne. I'm a self-taught juggling, YouTube watching, laugh-at-my-own-jokes type of girl.
